  2. transfer files to and from Europe quickly, reliably and in
  3. a costeffective manner. File transfers to and from Europe
  4. are made via a satellite link which has a high noise level,
  5. long return time and high cost. Xmodem file transfers are
  6. not effective because of these problems. MCS uses X.MS, a
  7. Mainstay proprietary protocol, which is similar to the
  8. CCITT X.25 protocol. This eliminates any noise and the
  9. problem of the long return time.
